“CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF”
—Directed by Ken Thompson
One of playwright Tennessee Williams’ greatest works, “Cat on
a Hot Tin Roof” is the powerful and moving story of the
dysfunctional Southern family, the Pollitts, and the rivalries,
tension, and greed that the possible impending death of wealthy
patriarch Big Daddy causes among the members of his family.
In the midst of this struggle, Maggie the Cat tries to win back
her estranged and alcoholic husband Brick as she fights to “stay
on the roof as long as she can.” Turned into an incredible
movie with Paul Newman, Burl Ives, and Elizabeth Taylor as
Maggie the Cat, this fascinating drama will wrap you up in its
drama and not let go!
